The seeds lay in shallow dirt.

With no tending, they quickly begin to bud.

Each one is unique.

Some are beautiful; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness.

The gardener lovingly waters and prunes every day.

Others are hideous; hatred, anger, guilt, shame, dishonesty.

The gardener hastily covers them with more dirt every day.

Both continue to grow.

The beautiful buds bloom in the light.

The gardener shares the beauty with everyone that comes to visit.

The hideous buds twist unnaturally into weeds in the dark.

The gardener continues to add dirt so no one can see the ugliness.

Unexpectedly, the landscape changes.

The hideous weeds threaten to overtake the beautiful flowers.

The gardener uses a mighty strength to pull up the hideous weeds.

Exposed in the light, the hideous weeds eventually wilt.

The gardener finally notices God standing with her.

She leans into His wisdom and learns to water the flowers and expose the weeds every day.
